Area Guide for Fishponds Bristol

Three miles to the northeast of Bristol is the town of Fishponds. Despite having a busy high street, the neighbourhood is largely residential.

There are some detached and semi-detached properties available, but as the area was largely constructed during the Victorian era, the majority of the residences are the typical Victorian terraces. There are also a number of more recently built, modern houses.
In 2022 properties in Fishponds had an overall average price of £306,972 over 2021. The majority of sales were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £318,503. Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £357,356, with flats fetching £192,296. Overall, sold prices over the last year were 8% up on the previous year and 17% up on the 2019 peak of £262,970.

The high street is having quite a resurgence and is now home to a number of renowned supermarkets along with greengrocers, numerous shops, and services such as The Fishponds Tap pub, The Crafty Egg and Fishponds Flowers. You can find almost anything you require here. Excellent children’s play areas may be found in Oldbury Court, while nearby Eastville Park has a huge boating lake and several important wildlife reserves.

The A432 is a significant road that passes immediately through Fishponds. It offers direct access to the M32 in one direction and the Bristol Ring Road in the other. There are also numerous bus services available. Cycling facilities are available on the Bristol to Bath Railway Path, which almost parallels the main route.
